Today, everyone is doing so much better. Patrick slept 8 hours last night after getting the med from our doctor (second visit) yesterday. Reese is taking his chemo meds just fine and seems sparkly. Allie is really doing well and Peggy still has stoma pain but will see the surgeon next Monday. (We'll be at Mayo on Monday, Thursday, Friday and next Sunday-- we should rent an apartment there. .)
So, life is a bit cheerier now. Saw the movie Columbus Circle on DVD last night -- some people panned it but I really liked it and I would recommend it.
Am beginning the plan for our group, Ostomates of Asheville. We have our first meeting with the man who is the organizer of the Daytona Beach group on Sunday. We'll cover all the issues, from meeting rooms to marketing to speakers, etc. I cannot wait to start this and try to help people segue through this time of their lives. ChainFree's big educational campaign will kick off this summer as well. So rest assured I'll be busy!!!
Well, just wanted to let you know we are all doing so much better and hope you are as well.
Love,
Peggy
Glad to hear Pat is on the mend (mended?) and the doggies are holding their own. Hope you will get relief from your discomfort sooner, rather than later.
ReplyDeleteso happy to hear that things are looking up for your whole family! :) and i'm not quite sure if your appt was today or is next monday BUT hope it is a productive appt with good news. i know you are tired of having stoma pain (to say the least!). i didn't realize that poor patrick was so sick during everything with reese so i'm so glad he is feeling better. what a nightmare! you are right . . . the next month will definitely be a better month for you all! :)
