Reese

Unfortunately, the senior wellness exam for Reese revealed some significant issues.  He has a high globulin count which means either inflammation or infection, caused by cancer or ticks.
They are scanning the blood sample again for a more finite diagnosis.  Combined with that he has significant hip displasia so his lameness will be managed via pain relievers (Tramadol, which is what I had at one point).  He has other less significant issues including the licking, skin issues and perhaps some tooth cleaning is necessary, but we are prioritizing the cancer and the displasia first.

It seems as though we just got through the cancer scare with Allie and here it is again. Very sad and depressing.  He is still recovering from his procedure yesterday and has only been awake for a few minutes, no food and only a quick walk outside.Of course, I am beside myself with worry but we won't know the final results until Friday.  Please keep Reese in your prayers.  Thanks.

Peggy

  2. Peggy, I'm so sorry that you all are worrying again . . . I'll be thinking of you and Reese and wishing for good news on Friday. I got your note about dog foods and still haven't had a chance to reply but I will asap. And I'm so glad your trip went well! Sounds like it was fun and, again, I'm behind with my "anonymous" commments but hope to catch up soon. Give those sweet pups some belly scratches from me . . . and tell Reese I'm thinking of him! :) Michelle P.S. Think positive!!!!!!!!!!!!
