We're Dining Out Today!!!

Our friends, Jim and Linda, are coming to bring his leek and potato soup and we're going up to the clubhouse to enjoy that and the view.  I'll take pictures so you can see the colors (but we're still a week away from peak we think).
Spent the morning trying to be normal, cleaning up a bit and washing my hair.
Yesterday started out OK but last night we had our third bag blowout so we are getting an experienced ostomy nurse here tomorrow along with the regular wound vac nurse to see what is going on with this.
Patrick was on the phone last night talking with folks at 9 p.m. about my skin and the inability of it to hold the wafer and I do not want to bore you with more details. It could be the actual surgical placement of the stoma which is not in a normal spot since I had emergency open surgery.  As I understand it, if you know you are getting an ostomy they mark where the "crease" is when you sit down and consider that when creating your stoma. . .I guess the surgeon should have had me sit up on the operating table!! ;-)
Anyway, this should be fixed tomorrow.  Yet another little step in this journey.  Who knew there would be this many steps?

Only 6 days left to being chain free.
