Las Vegas OOOOhh La La

Taken by a nice 71 year man also born on March 30th!
We're going to let these pictures tell the story of our adventure!!  We took 224 shots so we'll not bore you with all of them. . .just a sampling. It was a trip of WOW MOMENTS, minute by minute, second by second.

o  From enjoying our magnificent 1,050 sq. ft. suite at the ARIA with a stellar view of the Strip to being mesmerized at  the Body Museum and seeing real skin (no, not that kind) and organs from a real cadaver one after another;
o From relaxing at the Flamingo Preserve featuring dozens of  beautiful svelte creatures (no, not that kind)  to rocking with "Human Nature," a Motown Review where we danced and sang and remembered the 60s --one of the best shows we have ever seen ( Patrick has been to Vegas more than 25 times);
o From dining next to the peaceful Conservatory and Gardens at the Bellagio, to Peggy's dress getting caught in her panties as she strolled from the restroom down to the blackjack table (no actual photographs of that but you can picture how embarrassed I was) . . . So here is Las Vegas..

My birthday Carrot Cake.  Fabulous!

We also visited the Silver and Gold Pawn Shop in Downtown Vegas where I bought a Southwestern ring with tiny touches of coral (endangered I know) and turquoise.  .  Dinner one night we tried the In and Out Burger which was great.  We had wanted to try one for a long time.  We went to the Mob Museum but it was not yet open (opened two days hence), saw Human Nature which was fabulous but no pictures allowed of the actual performance. They were really, really good. Highly recommend seeing them.

Eiffel Tower at Paris
Overall this trip was, on a scale of 1 to 10, certainly a 12 or higher.  It met our expectations (except the amount of walking which was 10,000 or more steps per day) and the late arrival of our flight back to Orlando (1 a.m. and back to Palm Coast at 2:44 a.m. )  We're both too old to do these red eyes, but the package we got was worth it (you know me and deals).

When Can we Go Again?

Next trip is San Francisco, then DC (maybe), Albuquerque and our Christmas cruise to the Southern Caribbean and South America.  This blog is becoming a travel magazine.  I just love to travel.

We'll be entertaining my cousin John & Joanne next week and my cousin from Wales, whom I have never met in June.

On the Cancer scene, however, I was having pain out there (at times pretty brutal) so I am seeing Dr. Johnson (not her PA) Wednesday with  a CT scan.  Keep your fingers crossed that this is a minor thing.  Chemo is scheduled again for Thursday (got rejected two weeks ago). We are looking to go back to Asheville middle to late May but again, a lot depends upon the last CT scan in May.

Cheers!

Peggy

  1. WOW WHAT FUN YOU HAD Don't feel bad about the panty incident, I did the same thing while working at our store in Hanes Mall and walking down to the post office in the mall. Luckily a mall shopper caught up with me to tell me what had happened, my face too was red.

    I am so very glad that you and Patrick are doing all of this traveling and that you can. That is truly a blessing in the midst of all that you are going through. Your attitude has alot to do with it too, I believe.

    The photos of this trip are great, especially you with the "stars". I love looking at the photos you post.

    Love you & Patrick and the 4 leggeds lots.
