Good news (from CAT scan)

My CAT scan was done today (along with blood work) revealing that Dr Johnson's chemo "cocktail" is really helping to minimize the cancer.  We'll meet with a surgeon soon to discuss the reconnection of my colon which will get me off the bag.  We were so happy to hear this.  Note:   the surgery would need to be after the full program of chemo which will not be over until end of April so the surgery would be in May-June followed by 6 weeks of healing, so we are not sure when we will get back to Asheville.

These photos are kinda of mixed up but include shots from KSC (Kennedy Space Center), The Magic Kingdom (I would love to work in their horticultural-landscape division) and EPCOT.

Princess Peggy (OK, stop with the comments out there!)

We have no idea who these people are.

The P & P Team

Fireworks at EPCOT (called the Illumination).  Absolutely gorgeous!

Mother Goose and gossling! (there had to be a Mother Goose somewhere!)

Sarah & Ryan in front of the Rocket Garden with fountains
(they look a little like human rockets, eh?)

Flowers everywhere !

Ryan's rocket (RS-68, Delta IV).  (This is an older model).  It was so great listening to him explain things.

Put five of these together and you have propulsion on steroids!

Dad and Son enjoying each other's company!! Such handsome men!

The VAB -- Vehicle Assembly Building.  Rocket parts are delivered here via a crawler and assembled to make a rocket.  Amazing size and scope of this endeavor.

It was so good to see Ryan & Sarah.  We had a great time and although busy, I paced myself so as not to fall down with fatigue. LOL!

So, a good week all round. . . great week with R&S and great news at Mayo.  We travel back to Mayo tomorrow for the 4-hour chemo and Jim & Linda are coming in Wedensday to spend a few days with us and next week we have Elaine coming in whom I haven't seen in 11 years!  Amazing -- can't wait to see them all!.

Hope all of you are enjoying (finally) the wonderful weather:-78-82 each day here -- TRIKE weather!  Went to the store and back on the trike. (40 minutes).  Hurray.  Love it and you.

Write soon.

Peggy

  2. Glad you had a good visit with the "kids". We know that Jim and Linda are looking forward to seeing you. Great news from Mayo. Howard still thinks you should motorize that trike so that you can ride it over to the Golden Lion!
