Out and About

Beautiful day in the mountains (a tad cold when we got up - 48 degrees!) and I wanted to go outside -- so we did go out for a little while in the car and shopped a bit, but I got very tired so we came back after an hour. But feeling better than I did last week, that is for sure. I could not have walked a block 7 days ago.
REACH Animal Hospital (under new mgmt) is having an open house and thanks go out to Tiffany, Kristen, Jean and Michelle for exhibiting at this event for ChainFree. Big hugs to each of them.
Thursday is my MRI. It baffles me as to why she wants that.  I mean isn't the CT scan and PET scan enough? I feel like we are going backwards. . are x-rays next? HA!
So the next visit with her (Dr. Lukas) is October 15th to get the advanced pathology report from the second lab (like a second opinion kind of thing). The  mystery is that they cannot find the primary source of the cancer since the PET scan was not showing any hot spots. Dr. Lukas talked about a possible appendix  or stomach source but I have no symptoms of those whatsoever. Without a definitive source as what they all "the primary" they (a) cannot develop a recipe for chemo and (b) cannot monitor any progress.  So who knows what's next?
We're watching the Ryder Cup in Wales, home of my recently discovered cousin Jim (who found me on ancestry.com) who lives in Cardiff.   This is a beautiful course in a beautiful country but  the American outfits are a little strange-- lavender sweater vests? Tomorrow is our last fence of the season for four pittie puppies. Then into hibernation until next spring when Buncombe County will become our highest priority.    Will try to post again tomorrow.  Such the exciting life here in Weaver-vegas!~
