This blog started out with my diagnosis of signet ring cell carcinoma but has morphed into a plain old everyday account blog. It is mainly to update friends and family on what's happening to us. Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas Decorating
So, Patrick spent Saturday morning decorating and I think he did a great job. Here are some photos. The palm trees look lovely!
Saturday night we went to the Town Center to see their lights and took the dogs. We drove to Orlando yesterday to have lunch with Betty and it was great to see her. So we had a good weekend. Hope you all did as well!
Hey-Everything looks great . . . especially the palm trees! It's so funny to see that your yard is so green since everything here is so brown. Your yard is beautiful, and the wreath and everything looks great, too. Especially Rudolph! :) Glad you got to go see Betty and take a little trip . . . sounds like fun! Now you have inspired me to decorate so I better get started, right? :) michelle
Thanks! The palm trees actually look a little like UFO's when lit at night! Funny. Again, thanks for your continuing notes. You always make me feel so good about life. . .hope your life is going well and you and Natalie are enjoying each day. Also hope all your furry ones are happy. How is your Little Sister?
Hahaha . . . UFO's landing on your lawn!!! Everything really looks great! We bought a Christmas tree today but have not decorated anything yet. My mom and her boyfriend are coming for Christmas--we have always gone to her house instead--so we are planning on decorating a lot more than usual to make the house more festive for them. But still haven't had time to do it! :) I'm glad you two are staying busy and I know you are looking forward to your BIG trip!!!! Thanks for asking about my little sis . . . unfortunately, it didn't work out. Her pshychiatrist was changing her ADHD meds and she was having a lot of mood swings and other issues due to the meds. So the psych ended up recommending that she discontinue the program, focus on school/family, and get the meds straightened out. Too bad, but I definitely understand. Hopefully in the future she can get a big sister, though! Now I am enrolling as a "school mentor"--it's another Big Brothers Big Sisters program—that’s 1 hr/week in a local school but I haven’t met my new little sis yet. Sounds like fun, though!! Thanks for the update and I’m looking forward to hearing more about your trip!! :) Michelle
Sorry to learn about your little sister, but it sounds like mentoring is an exciting program. You are so generous to give of your time like this. I am sure all the young ladies admire and cherish your time with them. Have fun decorating and with your Mom and friend. Til later. . thanks again for your comments. They are really great!
