Hummingbird wings

Patrick and I have been little hummingbird wings since we got back on Thursday.  Opening a house is not fun!  And I have been hugely dizzy until today when I took no pills.  I think the pills and the altitude must be affecting me.   I will resume them if I need to, but not dizzy today.

Yesterday learned that we are, indeed, one of the 20 nonprofits identified for Bele Chere (350,000 people gathered for the South's largest crafts and music festival), but I had to run a check down to her yesterday in addition to everything else we were doing, but I am so thankful we got the booth.  I did not request a grant this year so this will be a major fund-raiser for us!  We also hae a good candidate or two for the fund-raising position who will get a commission. .

Just planted a lot of geraniums on the back deck and just threw a bucket of them on the front porch.  Our deck furniture has had it after 5 years so we are going furniture shopping tomorrow and out with friends tonight for dinner.

I'll keep you posted from time to time about surgery -- next Appt. is June 9th. This is a lifetime thing it seems but going in the right direction.

Peace, Love and People hood.  Please write me to let me know how it is going. I will not be at the fence build but perhaps the next one.  If anyone out there knows of a fence manager, please let me know.  We only have one candidate.   Four Sundays a Month.  3 hours per Sunday. $10.00 per hour.  Not huge money. But great people.

Peggy

  1. It must feel good to be back in Asheville. I know you love Florida but you have so many wonderful friends in Asheville that I bet you get a little homesick while in the south land.

Hope the fund raiser at Belle Chere is a HUGE success. All the doggies in the world should have a Peggy in their lives.

Love you kid and furry creatures.

  2. Hey Peggy-Welcome Home!!!! Hope your dizziness has subsided today . . . that is NOT fun at all! We are trying to be hummingbirds, too, but it is exhausting. Hope you are making lots of progress! Sounds like you have done a lot already, esp with planting geraniums. That’s really exciting about Bele Chere, too!! And I’m glad your next appt is so soon . . . is it with the same doctor that you had before (Tom Cruise?). Have a great week! Michelle : )
