Happy New Year!

Thanks to all of you , 2010 turned out much, much better than we expected. . due to your thoughts, wishes and prayers for moi.  The cancer seems to be abating and the pain is pretty much gone except for the UTI which the doctor said yesterday is due to dietary habits (caffeine and fruit juices) which are "bladder irritants" esp. in women over menopause.  So watch out women over 50!  Keep those pineapple juice cartons hidden away!  Same with orange and apple.  

Anyway, life is good. . . the birds are coming to the bird feeder, Michelle and Natalie, and they love it!  Thanks again for that wonderful gift!

We began looking for the trike today.  The bike store wants $379 plus lots of little charges for baskets, etc.  We found one on craigslist for $200, red, never used, with a horn and baskets, etc.  The only issue is getting it back here in the VW wagon.   We may have to dismantle it to make it fit.  I cannot wait!  It is 72 degrees today and will be 76 tomorrow.

Reese is getting his first-ever grooming today and if we get the trike tomorrow we'll be tooling over to the ocean  (new bridge takes us right there!!!)

We added up all of the "retail" costs from Mission, Mayo and the docs so far (up to November) and we have incurred $125,000 in charges of which we will have to pay only a couple of thousand.  Thank Gawd we have insurance. How can people without insurance survive?
