Yesterday the CT scan showed very little fluid left so the chemo is working. The CA 125 blood test was 42 which is down as well and good. My platelets are down which is not good so I have to have another blood test on Monday before Chemo#5 occurs at 9am. so I have to be at Mayo at 7:45! Yikes! Anyway, Dr. Johnson described it as a Christmas present so she was very encouraged and this validated that the formula for the chemo she prescribed is working along with he other millions of drugs I am taking.
I have to decide if I want a fairly new chemo drug (IV administered) called Avastan which could increase my survivability but 4% of patients have strokes or other horrible things. If anyone just happens to know about this drug (Natalie?) can you let me know you thoughts?
Florida is AGAIN going through a cold wave but nothing like last week. We hope the fog will burn off and we'll get some sun today. Hope your area is not too cold..
I want to congratulate again the Chico team of Jane, Ron, Leslie, Tiffany, Laura and Linda,Patrick F and Mark, Theresa and Steve for building his fence on Sunday in Asheville's weather! You guys are so compassionate and worthy of all good things!!!!I am so proud of you!
