This blog started out with my diagnosis of signet ring cell carcinoma but has morphed into a plain old everyday account blog. It is mainly to update friends and family on what's happening to us. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Peggy and Patrick, Loved the YouTube video. Very cute and funny! Hope the trip to the doctor today goes well. A friend recently sent me the following "dog wisdom" so I thought I'd share it with you. Our dogs always remind us how to live the good life! Hugs, Sharon
Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body. Delight in the simple joy of a long walk. Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently. ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY!
Hi Peggy--This is soooo cute! How in the world did the person edit it? It must have taken forever. I hope the rest of your vacation went well! What else did you get to do? Lot's of resting and relaxing, I hope!! Natalie reminded me that our car is from Melbourne ("Sunshine" the biodiesel mercedes). We bought the car on ebay and Natalie flew to Melbourne's airport to pick it up and then drove up here. Unfortunately, she didn't get to do anything fun while she was there. Well, good luck at your appt today--I'll be thinking about you! :) Michelle P.S. I love the doggy words of widsom (thanks for sharing them, Sharon! I need to remember them, too.)
Hey Peggy-How was your appt? Please send an update when you get a chance . . . we've been thinking about you! Hope you're feeling ok! :) Michelle P.S. MORE snow today (a few inches)!
Well, everything is ok I guess. The brain MRI does not show any blockage of the 6th optic nerve but I still see objects in a "double way" It seems to take a long time to get issues resolved at Mayo -- there must have been 1,000 people there! They should all go to Asheville and grab and snow shovel, eh?
