Gosh, I forgot how sunny it is here. Anyone suffering from that dysfunction when they don't get enough light should come down here. The drive was so much better for Reese who, with Valium, did not quiver hardly at all and finally began to sleep. . he paced on our trips here before. . paced and paced, but the Valium seems to help.
Feeling very good today and did have some nausea yesterday and this a.m. but not for long -- half the pills I have are to help prevent nausea. Flavor of the day -- but I think I have figured out the formula. Other infections are cleaning up nicely as well . . . so I am sure I'll be totally cured soon!
I weighed today for the first time in ages and have lost exactly 20 pounds. . . one of the few upsides to chemo I can think of!!! But it is an upside. No hair loss either . .wonderful
Have a great day and I'll see you soon!.
I have no idea how these colors work on Blogger. Will do better next time!
Hi Patrick and Peggy,
ReplyDeleteI just posted a comment, but it didn't seem to appear so I'm trying it again. If it shows up twice, please forgive me. I'm new to the blogging scene!
I wanted to tell you that it was a glorious day here in the mountains. Temps in the mid 60s and sunshine all day. We took our "big dogs" (Cinder and Chester) and went for a bike ride at Lake Powhatan in Bent Creek National Forest. Chester runs right along side us without being on a leash, but Cinder is less reliable. She stayed with us for a while and then decided to take off through the woods. We could hear her thrashing around but we couldn't see her. She would not come back when we called. Then we heard the sounds of water splashing. So we sat by the side of the woods and just waited. In about 10 minutes she re-appeared, but those 10 minutes seemed like forever. I think she was chasing some mallard ducks into a nearby stream. Anyway, she was have a glorious time being a dog in the woods, so she turned a deaf ear to our calling her name. I can't say as I blame her. She had a blast! After that escapade, she had to go back on leash for a while! After the bike ride, we went to Roly Poly and had wraps and ice tea. The dogs were so tired that they layed down beside us on the outdoor terrace and worked on the stuffed Kongs I bought with me to keep them busy while we ate. All in all, it was a lovely day and I just wanted to share it with you. I'm always grateful for a gorgeous fall day and for time outdoors with my dogs. Sounds like Reese and Allie will soon be enjoying lots of nice days outside in the backyard doggie paradise you're working on for them! Happy to hear you're settling in at your Florida home and looking forward to the warmer weather. Sounds like today was a good day for you, Peggy, and I sure hope it continues. Stay strong and hang in there. Thanks for keeping us all up-to-date on your progress.
Love,
Sharon
Sharon, what a wonderful day you had and I am so glad you shared it with me. These are the greatest gifts of all. . .to "virtually" share others' days.
ReplyDeleteWe're almost settled in here. Thanks too, for sending the note to Tiffany. There will be a fence sometime soon. . .
